A Little Kick In the Butt

"Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."
1 Timothy 6:12
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
John 14:27

The good Word. A little kick to get your day focused on the one who never looses focus! Building relationship with other believers is a beautiful work, but starting relationships with those who don't believe at all is our calling. Stay grounded. Be empowered to discover, challenge the norm, make friends with the unlovable and let your actions preach the Gospel & if necessary use words. Make changes today so tomorrow will be a reflection of the progress made yesterday! The rhythm of change starts when someone is willing to start playing a beat. Let's make some music in this generation!

Always Battle In Two's

Sometimes I need to step away from writing to mentally process and chew on my thoughts. I more often then not sit and just have time to self reflect. The usual scan of my amazing God, dreams, passions, being an influence, school, boyfriend, family, junior high small groups, my job, my car, photography, Alice and Sheryl Cooper, my niece India, my flat feet and consequently my lower back pain, fears, struggles, my always low gas tank, music, inspiration, coffee, gluten free food, miles on my car, calories, church, future plans, dance, and about everything in between. I hope it's evident enough to see the broad span of thoughts I have in just short periods of time.

I have major question about life. Things that God can only answer, an it makes me anxious in a healthy excited way. Although having patients has been quite annoying for the most part. I really want my "forever" to start. My career and other future plans. But I often remind myself that "getting there," whatever my destination holds is going to be most important to live the process and not jump to the conclusion. God puts much value into the process because, like my mother has always told me, God is concerned with our character and our relationship with Him.

I feel like my heart has just been tossed and turned this month, maybe it's been longer, but I refuse to be weak at times for fear that I can't show my strength. A struggle I battle with.

I have a lot of unsettled thoughts, emotions, concerns and prayers. I'm wrestling with life and I think I might be missing that God is an amazing champion of concurring the seemingly impossible.

Fight The Good Fight

Capital punishment brought upon our own mind
Defining, defending, levels of doubt unending
Late nights roll to early mornings,
Remembering promises that have yet to take off soaring
I am working for bigger dreams
I can't be trapped underneath your worn out seems
Time to break out and set this wild imagination free
So when I look back on these years I can laugh and udder, "That's not me!"
No offense to the weak it's just time for me to tighten my bolts
Get down to the nitty gritty and ring my old self till it chokes
I will soon speak words that have never been thought
I will take action where people don't dare to cross
Although it seems like I was built like a machine
The Spirit inside me is the one that allows me to kick and scream
Vision captures my mind
Thinking now soaks all my time
I believe a smile can change this world
Although I'm willing to go deeper then just a "pretty girl"
Challenges are expected within the endeavor I dare to march
I won't give up on tomorrow because today is just about to start.

Dreams Do Come True

I wrote the post below, must read for this picture to make sense! Can you believe in the same day my dad walks in the door while I'm playing Kinect (this body motion sensor game thing! So fun!) and while I'm jumping about and swinging my arms around my dad turns a large box toward me from the doorway... &&& BAM. This little baby looked my straight in the face. I guess I'm going to be able to get a jump start on my guitar practice! I HAD NO IDEA!

Big things come in small packages and sometime big things come in big packages!

And If You Put Your Mind To It

You know the famous saying, "If you put your mind to it... anythings possible" Or how about, "Practice makes perfect." We've all heard em, and all of us have said them one time or another. Well, I'm a fan of a good challenge so I'm going to apply the good ol' saying and put them to good use. I'm going to start playing guitar, taking lessons, and this next year will be dedicated to seeing the progress I make from putting my mind to it and practicing until perfection! I may be getting ahead of myself so, maybe not perfection but I really want to try as many things as I can to see my limits and to see myself exceed limits as well!

So I guess you can call this an early new years resolution? Although every new years resolution seems to more of a failure because personally I think there is just to much pressure on one decision! So it's not a new years resolution it's a resolution happening in the new year! Perfect!

P.S. I'll be posting a picture of my guitar as soon as I get my hands on one

Merry Christmas... And to all a goodnight?

And it was a good night indeed!
I know thanksgiving has far past but I must say I feel very thankful every year I get a chance to celebrate Christ, family and tradition. It never is an easy going Christmas nor quiet or peaceful but I love it and have known nothing different for as long as I can remember. It's what makes my family different and dare I say special. Cheesy words!
This was the first Christmas without my sweet Oma and it really gave me an opportunity to sit back and realize what a beautiful family atmosphere my Oma and Opa have made. Truly is irreplaceable. One of a kind.
I receive joy from spending time with my family. It's wonderful!

Just my darling cousin and myself-

Airport

I'm sitting in the airport waiting to go to Ontario California for my cousin Ashley's birthday!! I've unfortunately & fortunately got here early, so I thought I'd get a pinch of writing in!

Last weekend I was so pleased to be able to go up to Prescott for a day with my parents and darling best friend! It was a B-L-A-S-T! I got to pull out the winter coats and scarfs and cozy up for our little adventure! We spent the day watching a local parade, shopping around at antique shops and we found this adorable ALL organic restaurant/cafe! My mom ordered the best gluten free coconut macaroon and we all got a warm cup of joe! With soy might I add!
The main reason for going was to see the lighting to of the court house and hear them read out of the Bible! It was an awesome time! Kids from local high schools sang and danced before the dimmed the lights and BAM... The building and trees lit up with glee! Wonderful to watch! We grabbed some mexican food and headed back home! It was an awesome experience and I had tons of fun. Also, I'll have to take a picture of the type writer my sweet boyfriend got me! Adorable to say the least! I'll also have pictures from the parade and others soon, as well!
