We Celebrate.

I had an eventful weekend celebrating the beautiful life of my cousin, Ashley! I joined her by bringing in her 21st birthday with coffee, sushi, late night walk on the Santa Monica Pier, music, 9 people in one hotel room and watching street dancers. But most of all, for me, it was the good conversations, heart-felt honesty, and ability to feel comfortable enough to share our struggles while encouraging each other to keep fighting through this life! Our creativity and need for art and culture is always heightened when we are together. Ash told me this quote when I was visiting her in California, "Small minds discuss people, average minds discuss events, great minds discuss ideas." Every time I am around Ashley, we talk about ideas for the future and plans of how we can partner together in ministry and life. Ashley, you have a beautiful soul. Never forget that you are called to do great things. Don't let anyone stand in your way of achieving your goals and being ALL you can be.
You are adored and loved, more than you know.

Your cousin... and forever friend.

Happy 4th of January

I have failed to write anything on new years because I have been busy trying to get back into the swing of life. So much has happen from the last post I have written! After my Christmas trip to California I packed a suit case and headed on another trip to Ensenada Mexico.

I planned on visiting friends as well as helping out with another house build like I had
I managed to do both, and it was a wonderful experience and a truly amazing
blessing to be a part of. Below are a few pictures of the friends I visited and of the house build I participated in.

{This is the family we built for}

{The far right is Saul and on the left is his two brothers}

{This was a sign for the front of the house that I was able to paint}

{Grateful}

{A friend who blessed me with an over abundance on my trip! Thank you}

{The Cherry on top of the trip was the father of the house we built for excepted Christ in his life. & through Spanish and English it was perfectly clear that there was a party in heaven for a man who dedicated himself to the Father! Awesome to be a part of!}

{This was the awesome team I got to work with - I did nothing in comparison to them!}

{The Finished product of hard working hands - prayerful blessings - & a faithful team of servants of God}

So this was my eventually inspiring trip to Ensenada Mexico! Since I have been back in the states I have gone back to work and starting my hectic school semester tomorrow. I foresee this year being a year of trials, successes and a deepening of my relationship with God. He is so beautiful in his delicate ways of taking care of me. Delicate being the key word!
I thank God for where I am at in my life
I am blessed
I am Loved

Just little things..

It's so sad to see the standard of this world get to a place were "perfection" is the only way girls can be viewed as Beautiful.

It breaks my heart into nothing when i see broken families struggle to like each other anymore.

I truely can't stand any parents fighting, especially mine.

I hate to see drugs, alcohol, smoking, or sex the result of peoples happiness. It's only temporary, it's not true happiness.

I just melt away when i see people in this world completely missing Gods compassion and not totally in love with Him.

If we just had one less worry about life, maybe we could see God's amazing plan for all of us. Just maybe.

For me pictures are a way of saying I've lived life, i have records of what I've done, and i want to be better then before.

For every person who has given more of themselves to another person, i look up to you, because i've struggles with that.

I thought about what love was last night with one of my friends, and this morning a have a new perspective on it. God gave his life for us, one of the greatest gifts of love. Until I'm ready to die for anyone i know i wont know true love.
And then i thought more, would i die for people i know. I came to the conclusion that i would, if i could just give my life completely selfless to the people i say i "love" then i do truly know true love. God knows my heart and he knows who i love.
Love is not just a feeling but i struggle to live less in your flesh and live less for yourself.
